Dual Hood Ornaments


One thing missing from cars nowadays are hood ornaments ... back in the day, cars had some pretty interesting ones. The ones pictured above are from a 1955(?) Chevrolet Bel-Air. It reminds me of two ramjet air intakes. Maybe the car designers thought it make the car look faster.

    neat!!! i have tried taking similar shots of hood ornaments earlier...but could never get a decent shot ..u did a very neat job on this one...

    Wow! Great choice, the sepia. It emphazises the curves and the shininess (is that a word?).
    I am sure it make them go faster. That or if it's painted red.
