Lone Sparrow

Wadaiko

This set of wadaiko, or Japanese drums, were on the JS Kunisaki (LST-4003) of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. The landing craft ship was one of two ships in Hawai‘i for the 2024 Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) naval exercises. The wadaiko are used by the ship's crew for ceremonial events.
