I thought turning the camera lens on myself was too easy of a way to do a self-portait. I wanted to use a mirrored surface of some sort to get the shot. The first attempt was off the side of an airplane's bare aluminum skin ... it was okay. Then, I noticed these crosswalk signal buttons have a curved mirror finish, and thought I'd give it a try ... got this one while taking other photos in downtown.
