Bird Of Paradise
One of the flowers commonly associated with Hawai‘i. They can be found in practically every part of Honolulu. I found this one at Foster Botanical Garden, and used a soft filter.
i love birds of paradise.....very elegant flowers they are :) we find them easily here in Florida too..i guess they are hardy enough to brave high temperatures......lovely shot :)
I saw these flowers for the first time while visiting the French Caribbean (Martinique et Guadeloupe). Until them I only had seen them at florists or in greenhouuses.

Very beautiful. I love these things, though I don't see them often.
