Five airliners make their final approach to HNL's "Reef Runway", or Runway 26 Left, on a night with the winds blowing from the northwest. When the winds blow from that direction, air traffic is re-routed to fly east to west.
This is one of a few 5-minute exposures I took from Kaka‘ako Park
last year, during a peak arrival time for flights coming from the mainland, and neighbor islands.
