Moku ‘O Loe, or Coconut Island sits in the middle of Kane‘ohe Bay on O‘ahu's windward coast. It houses the
Hawai‘i Institute of Marine Biology, which is part of the University of Hawai‘i.
I got this photo of Moku ‘O Loe from a roadside lookout of Interstate H3, and coverted it to black & white.
The classic TV series "Gilligan's Island" used a shot Moku ‘O Loe as the island they were shipwrecked on for their scene breaks, and the opening and closing credits.

I really like it in black and white. The streaks of sun shining down are gorgeous. Thanks for the Gilligan's Island fact. I loved that show as a kid!
