Sandbar House
In Ke‘ehi Lagoon, there are several sandbars, and a few are large enough to support houses. This house above, is one of several on a sandbar at the mouth of the lagoon.
Though they aren't quite like living in Hawaii, in the intercoastal waterway nearby here (called the Indian River Lagoon)are many sand bar islands. One is in Grant, Florida, a few miles south of where we live in Palm Bay. This particular island has about 5 homes on it. The other islands are popular with boaters as places to beach the boat and have a tiny private island for the day and bar-b-q and whatnot.
I've always fantasized about living on such a place. Don't have to worry much about pesky folks showing up to bother you or sell stuff.

Wow, what a spot they have. That's incredible.
beautiful! I'd be a bit worried about storms though...
