Aloha Plate
The Aloha Plate food truck makes an appearance at a Honolulu Night Market event. This food truck and its chefs won the Food Network's 2013 "Great American Food Truck Race". It stayed in southern California for several months after winning the contest, and found its way home to make appearances at events around the island of O‘ahu. We tried the food, and what they serve up, shows why they won the contest.

Wave
On one of the Boeing 737 delivery flights that stop through HNL, a friend was aboard this delivery flight from Boeing Field (Seattle, WA) to its new home in Japan. He informed me a few weeks out, that he would be aboard this flight. As the airliner taxied by, he threw a wave at me from jumpseat behind the first officer's seat. After the plane parked, we had a few minutes to chat.

Jacaranda
Jacaranda trees are seen around the Hawaiian islands, and UpCountry Maui is one of the best places to find trees in bloom along the highways, in the spring.
Sorry for the extended break ... the work schedule got me to the point where my photography has been limited to aviation subjects, though with my iPhone, I have managed to take a gob of photos, and will appear here. I'm not sure if this photo blog can remain daily, but I'll do my best to keep up the frequency.
