Regatta

One of the weekend summer events in Hawai‘i are outrigger canoe races. The O'ahu Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association (OHCRA) held its John D. Kaupkio Regatta, this past Sunday at Ke‘ehi Lagoon. Under cloudy skies (and some raindrops), paddlers of all age groups, from around the island participated in this race.

The grey blotch on the canoe, "Kawele‘a", was a raindrop that hit my lens. I wanted to fit as many canoes as I could in this shot.
