This column of smoke was from an apartment fire several blocks from my place, on Friday morning. I happened to look out my bedroom lanai door to see the smoke, just after dropping off Kathy at work.
Fortunately, firefighters had the blaze under control in ten minutes, but the family of ten was displaced, and no one was hurt.

How sad for that family. I hope they can find a place to stay till they have a permanent home again. At least no one was hurt.
