Big Island


On a clear day, the peaks of Mauna Kea (left) and Mauna Loa (right) on the island of Hawai‘i, commonly called the "Big Island", can be see from the summit of Haleakalā (on the island of Maui). The 'Alenuihāhā Channel separates the "Valley Isle" and the "Big Island".
