Raptor Pilots

Lieutenant Colonels Harvey Newton (Commander of the 19th Fighter Squadron, US Air Force) [left] and Christopher Faurot (Commander of the 199th Fighter Squadron, Hawai‘i Air National Guard) [right] are interviewed by news reporters Manolo Morales (of KHON) and Lisa Kubota (of Hawai‘i News Now) at the Pacific Air Forces F-22 Raptor blessing ceremony. Shot with the 16mm fish-eye.

Lt. Col. Newton leads the active duty 19th FS, while Lt. Col. Faurot leads the Hawai‘i Air National Guard's 199th FS. Both units are part of an integrated unit, but the 199th is the lead component, due to its mission of defending the Hawaiian skies.

Today, we also honor the veterans who are serving (& who served) in the US Armed Forces.  A big mahalo for your service and protecting our freedom!
