Great Aloha Run

Yesterday, the 27th Great Aloha Run was held, that had over 27,000 participants. This was the scene as some of the runners completed the 8-mile run in a little over an hour.

Anonymous said...: i can't believe the guy in the photo that wore reef walkers!! ouch...he could feel every rock on the ground as he ran...but then again, he did make it to the finish line!! :)

The Why

After beginning the HNL RareBirds blog, I wanted to put together a photo-a-day blog of my non-aviation photos ... whatever caught my eye at that time I had one of my cameras with me, and the story behind the photo. I'll sneak in aviation-related photos here and there, mostly photos that are not on my airliner blog.

Being a videographer for the past 25 years, I am used to capturing moving images. With photography, I am now capturing moments in time, sometimes at very small fractions of a second. It's a totally different mindset, on two different levels of creativity, though the basics for both, photo and video are the same.

Over the past few years, I have been blessed to have a few dozen photos published in several international airliner magazines, and other publications, along with articles I wrote, or co-wrote.
