One of my first photos of Emi, was a few days after we picked her up from the pet shelter. She loves to wait by the front door for Kat to come home from work.

Old Is New Again

There is the old adage that says that everything old is new again.

Over the past few decades the Tsuru (Japanese crane) logo was synonymous with Japan Airlines. Several years ago, the airline decided to re-brand, to get rid of the tsuru, and replace it with a variation of the rising sun red circle on their national flag. It was the a big topic among aviation enthusiasts and the Japanese populous. While going through their bankruptcy proceedings over two years ago, the airline decided to bring the tsuru logo back.

Today's photo shows the two liveries, past and present. The Boeing 777 in the background wears the rising sun tail logo, while the Boeing 767 in the foreground wears the "new" tsuru logo.

Natural Camouflage

I came across this stray Jackson Chameleon in our parking lot. I caught it, but set it free on top of a nearby hibiscus hedge. These reptiles can sell up to $100 a piece. I think this male was once someone's pet.

Under Tow

A few weeks ago, while waiting to photograph a 737 delivery flight,this F-15C from the Oregon Air National Guard had to make a barrier landing after experiencing a hydraulic issue. The fighter is seen above under tow back to Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam.

Hula Instruments

A trio of Island Air flight attendants pose on the airstairs of a Saab SF340B that has been leased from PenAir (Alaska). "Hoaloha (friend)"is the name Island Air gave to the aircraft, when it was blessed at the end of February. I was asked by the airline to give these flight attendant shots retro treatments.
