In July 2015, the Solar Impulse 2 "Zero Fuel" aircraft made a stop at the Kalaeloa Airport (John Rogers Field), on the west side of O‘ahu, as part of its round-the-world solar-powered flight. It's seen above, rolling out on Runway 4R, after a five-day journey from Nagoya, Japan. The next leg was delayed several months as issues with the batteries arose during the Japan - Hawai‘i flight.
